Sharing a WiFi Connection to an Internet Connection on my Laptop using Windows 7

This works for Windows 7

You can share your laptop's WiFi connection with anything plugged into its Ethernet cable port. This allows you to plug in a VoIP phone or your PS3/Xbox when hard wired internet isn't available

Just go to your laptop's control panel and do the following to turn it on.

Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings > Right Click the wifi connection > Properties > Sharing tab > tick the two boxes > Settings > Tick and confirm every option in the list > OK > OK.

Note: Remember to undo this if you want to be able to use the laptop ethernet port to connect to a regular wired lan cable.
